Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. --givingtuesday.org

Sounds like Giving Tuesday was meant for Communities of Transformation and specifically tailored for the vision of Fred and Laurel Blackwell! 
 
As the newest member of the Communities of Transformation Team, I can’t think of a better time to introduce myself and offer my services to the local sites. My role is to help the Communities of Transformation develop a more robust development program that assists the individual sites to deepen their impact on their local communities.  
 
Our goal is to secure 100 new donors to the organization. The amount of the gift is less important than generating consistent support. Think about your personal gift to the Communities of Transformation, and consider other people that you know who also would appreciate what the COT is doing in our community. The gifts are fully tax-deductible.

About Giving Tuesday

GivingTuesday falls on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving and before Christmas. For Communities of Transformation, this is a time of giving thanks for everything that we have received.

The Alabama West Florida Conference helps to fund our mission. The local volunteers, businesses, and churches that support our mission allow us to help move people from surviving to thriving; our community is better off as a result!    
 
Monthly giving is an ideal way to help us serve. When Communities of Transformation began, Fred and Laurel Blackwood proposed securing monthly donations from local churches to support our cause. This concept also works for individuals. Our financial budget is built on our monthly needs and the weekly dinner and training sessions. Your gift makes a difference!
