10th Annual Cardboard City

The 10th Annual Cardboard City will be held Saturday, October 24th at the corner of Dauphin and Ann Streets.  We have some exciting additions included in this years event. There will be a Human Chain from Cardboard City down Dauphin Street to raise awareness about homelessness and Car Camping-for those who wish to sleep in their car instead of a box. Please visit our website for more information and learn how to sign up.

Reminder from the United Methodist Children's Home

The White Christmas offering collected on behalf of the United Methodist Children’s Home is a heart-felt tradition dating back to the 1930s. During this special season Methodist Congregations across both the North Alabama and Alabama-West Florida Conferences gather generous offerings in support of UMCH’s transformational ministries.

Support needed for the Annual Dumas Wesley Christmas Toy Store

One of the most beloved events each year is the Annual Christmas Toy Store at Dumas Wesley Community Center.  The event serves 75 lower income families in surrounding neighborhoods by giving them the opportunity to buy new toys and bikes at a fraction of their retail value.  This year the Toy Store will take place Saturday, December 12th.  We need the help of our United Methodist family and others to provide the toys that will be sold.   Click here for more details on how to participate and/or contribute.  All donations need to arrive at Dumas Wesley by December 9th. More information can be found at
