Wesley Heirs is composed of retired Pastors, Souses and Surviving Spouses of ministers who have served in both the Alabama-West Florida Conference and other Conferences, now retired and living within this Conference. It is open to all of these persons and is planned for your enjoyment and personal enrichment. It is a wonderful opportunity for fellowship with like minded individuals with a common bond of fellowship.
Wesley Heirs meets twice a year on the second Tuesday and Wednesday in March and October. We meet in Oakwood Lodge at Blue Lake Assembly near Andalusia. The newsletter, click here to view, is published twice each year several weeks in advance of the sessions. In it you will find a registration form for the SPRING RETREAT.
At each of our two sessions, we have a Memorial Service to honor and remember pastors and/or spouses who have died since the last meeting. A candle is lighted remembering each person that may be taken home with close family members attending. There is a message of encouragement brought by a guest minister each time on Wednesday morning at 10/30 in the chapel. Also, there is an early Communion service on Wednesday morning at 7:30 a.m. We have a number of opportunities for fellowship, fun, games and special programs. We even have a choir composed of attendees. There is always a table of goodies available to nibble on for attendees. What Methodist service would lacking in an offering being taken and we are no exception. This is taken during the Wednesday Memorial Worship Service and this goes to help sustain Sunshine Camp and Discovery Camp with alternate sessions going to support needs of our Wesley Heirs.
You are cordially invited and urged to register and attend The Wesley Heirs Spring Retreat. It will make a difference in your life and bring a sense of fulfillment to you as a servant of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
