Open Doors Thrift Store to be featured on WKRG News 5
Tune in at 6pm this Friday to view a feature story about The Open Doors Resale and Thrift Store from WKRG News Channel 5 reporter, Devon Walsh. This is a great testament to the store’s success and also of the time and effort that has gone into making the Thrift Store a reality. (Not to mention great advertising!) The store was a vision that The Rev. Charles Fail had for years and finally became a reality in 2012 when it began with a Christmas Sale for Missions in St. Mark UMC’s gym. Since that time many people, volunteers and staff, have put in long hours and hard work to accomplish the distribution of almost $80,000 in grants to local missions! Of course these grants would not be possible without you and your contributions of merchandise to sell! Thank you!! And don’t forget; when you are cleaning out your closet, garage or attic…collect your unwanted items and drop them off at Open Doors located at 4125A Government Blvd. Or you may give the store a call at (251) 661-5661, they will be glad to drop by and take these items off your hands!
