"Becoming a Healthy, Growing Church" Conference

Crosspoint United Methodist Church will present their second "Becoming a Healthy, Growing Church" Conference February 9-10, 2018, at their Niceville Campus. Those who have tried know growing a church is not easy; and if a church is not healthy it is nearly impossible! Crosspoint, with the largest worship attendance in the Alabama-West Florida Conference, is a healthy church that is experiencing incredible growth as the 10th fastest growing, large membership United Methodist church.

Members of the Crosspoint staff from all four campuses will share principles they have learned, mistakes they have made, and changes they have undergone that have led to their worship attendance doubling in one decade.

Generis Event- Growing the Culture of Generosity in Your Church

The Division of Stewardship of the Conference Board of Discipleship is co-sponsoring with Generis an event called Growing the Culture of Generosity in Your Church.  We are hosting this 4-hour event in two locations in our conference - on Thursday, February 8 at FUMC Montgomery and on Friday, February 9 at Crosspoint UMC in Niceville.  ***BONUS*** The Niceville event happens the morning before their "Becoming a Healthy Growing Church" conference!  So, just arrive early!  Plus the generosity event is only $17!!  Just the cost of lunch!  Also, CEU's will be awarded, the number of them is yet to be determined.

Why Generis?  Generis has become a leading generosity ministry agency in the United States and has been producing impressive results in our annual conference at churches such as Crosspoint, FUMC Bay Minette, and Foley UMC.  Both Jay Cooper and Nolan Donald will also be on hand at both events to witness to the results that Generis has helped them achieve toward funding ministry for Jesus Christ.

First Annual "Love in Action" Event

Announcing the UMC Mobile District's first annual valentine event, “Love in Action.” The driving force for this event comes from the words found in John 13:35 (NRSV), “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” Each year, all of the Mobile District churches will be invited to come together in serving a church in need. It is an event that will be held each February near Valentine’s Day in effort to share our "love for one another.”

This year’s event will be a District-wide work day at West Wilmer United Methodist Church.  Come join us for a day of food, fun and serving as we share our "love for one another" in a District-wide work day at West Wilmer United Methodist Church located at 15231 Starlight Ave. on Saturday, February 10, 2018
from 9am-3pm

USA Wesley Tuesday Night Dinners

As a new semester begins in January, the USA Wesley Foundation wants to continue the tradition of providing meals each Tuesday night. We are seeking volunteers to help provide this meal.  This is an important time in the lives of these young students and what a great opportunity for you to show hospitality and get to know them as they grow in their relationship with Christ!  We expect to feed approximately 35 folks each week. Wesley will have paper products and drinks so you only need the meal... but be sure to include a dessert – we are talking about college students you know.  :-)  You are welcome to stay and eat with the students or you may simply drop off the food at the Wesley Foundation located at 5835 Old Shell Road by 5:30 pm. This could be a great project for your Sunday School Class or a small group within your church.

Click here to sign up or if you have questions please call Holly Vining at the Wesley at 251-341-5184 or her cell at 205-438-0961.
