Check out the new UM Foundation Newsletter

The Alabama-West Florida United Methodist Foundation believes in the power of generous living and our goal is to inspire generosity in others. Generosity is not a spiritual attribute someone acquires apart from the actual practice of giving. Generosity focuses on the spiritual qualities of the giver, derived from the generosity of God, rather on the church’s need for money.

In an effort to share God's generosity with others, we invite you to check out their very first newsletter where you will find articles and stories about generous living and giving.

Luke 6:38 says, "Giving, not getting, is the way.  Generosity begets generosity." As we move into a season of thankfulness, let us remember that generosity matters.

For more information on year-end giving resources available for you or your church please call 334-793-6820 or e-mail foundation@alwfumf.org.

Reminder from the United Methodist Children's Home

The White Christmas offering collected on behalf of the United Methodist Children’s Home is a heart-felt tradition dating back to the 1930s. During this special season Methodist Congregations across both the North Alabama and Alabama-West Florida Conferences gather generous offerings in support of UMCH’s transformational ministries.

Support needed for the Annual Dumas Wesley Christmas Toy Store

One of the most beloved events each year is the Annual Christmas Toy Store at Dumas Wesley Community Center.  The event serves 75 lower income families in surrounding neighborhoods by giving them the opportunity to buy new toys and bikes at a fraction of their retail value.  This year the Toy Store will take place Saturday, December 12th.  We need the help of our United Methodist family and others to provide the toys that will be sold.   Click here for more details on how to participate and/or contribute.  All donations need to arrive at Dumas Wesley by December 9th. More information can be found at www.dumaswesley.org
